I know it’s already become one of my favorites! So stay tuned.

Time Out (Foolish Games Sequel) available now!

September 24, 2012

The second book in the Foolish Games Series titled Time Out is now available on Amazon!! Here’s a short summary below. Hope you all enjoy!

Joie and her friends are continuing to follow the Grimm Brother’s Band across their countrywide tour. They thought the worst was behind them but they had no idea that things were just getting started. Terrorists’ bombings call for all entertainment venues to be on high alert. With all of the new staff and crew members, the band finds it hard to know who to trust. Meanwhile things begin to heat up between Joie and Hawkins in and out of the bedroom when an ex-fiancé suddenly shows up on the scene but the real surprise has yet to come. If the band wants to continue on the tour, they must figure out who is really behind it all before time runs out…

Foolish Games Sequel Coming Soon!

September 8, 2012

The writing process of the second book in the Foolish Games Series has been amazingly effortless and productive. We’re in the process of sending out a couple of the rough draft versions of the book to a few selected readers whose opinions we value greatly! It has been an exciting adventure reconnecting with these characters and I can’t wait to share the story with all of our readers! Meanwhile, Meg and I have been traveling as far as The Gorge in Washington State to watch a certain band play there (strictly for material type purposes for our third book in the series:) After spending most of the summer writing the second book, I look forward to the third! Stay tuned for updates that will be coming shortly!

Foolish Games Meet and Greet was a success!

August 11, 2012

Meg and I would like to thank Stacy Costner for hosting a Meet and Greet for her book club’s July pick Foolish Games at her house this past August 1st. It was a privilege to meet so many happy and excited readers of the book! I especially liked when one member passed around a photo of who she pictured Hawkins as in her mind which sent the rest of us into a detailed discussion on the subject. Matthew McConaughey and Rob Pattinson were just a few named:) The night was full of laughs, interesting questions, delicious food, and overall, it was a really blessed event! It was a memory I will treasure forever. Thank you, ladies!

There will be a sequel to Foolish Games!!

July 27, 2012

Meg and I are happy to announce that there will be a sequel to Foolish Games. I have spent the past year and half thinking out the plot and praying that Meg would finally come on board. She may not always get the credit she deserves (mainly because she’s not someone who wants to be in the public eye or the kind of person who even cares about getting the credit she deserves) but her valuable input and edits have made that book what it is today. I am beyond thrilled to start this journey with her again!!

Foolish Games Book Club Meet and Greet!

July 6, 2012

Stacy Costner and her book club are reading Foolish Games for their July read. I will be meeting with them August 1st for a meet and greet where I’ll be answering questions about the book. This blessed experience keeps surprising me. I loved working with Danielle at Book Whore Book Club when her book club read Foolish Games, but meeting everyone in person is a first for me and I’m super excited!

Fiction Fascination's Review is up!!

July 4, 2012

I would like to thank Carly at Fiction Fascination for her recent review of South Hills Sidekicks: Uninvited!! Meg and I loved the review which was the first to mention Buddy; a favorite canine side character who we both fell in love with while writing the story. And we couldn’t agree more with Carly when she wrote, “Val, Alley's best-friend is the most outrageously funny person in the book, I think she really gave the book that extra sparkle.” Read the full review at her blog Fiction Fascination!

South Hills Sidekicks: Compromised Review!

July 3, 2012

Meg and I are thrilled to share this absolutely wonderful review of South Hills Sidekicks: Compromised (Book 3) by Lauren at Live, Read, and Breathe. I know Shane has felt like ‘book boyfriend’ material while writing his character and I’m glad you agree Lauren! Thanks for the review! It truly captures the highlights of the series. If you haven’t read it yet, here it is!

The third book has been compromised literally.

June 28, 2012

Meg and I just wanted our readers to know that there was a mix up when we published the third book of the South Hills Sidekicks Series: Compromised and that the unedited version was accidentally released. We have since fixed the problem, but want to make it clear that the content of the story is completely the same and sincerely hope that it didn't take away from your enjoyment of reading it!
